GoodReads - www.goodreads.com - is declaring war on art. Classics included.

They are removing images containing various stages of nudity from their site - Donatello, Da Vinci, Botticelli, Rubens, Picasso, Dali and pretty much any other great master of old (and recent) is under attack. I kid you not. Michelangelo’s David was removed within a day with a stern note not to do it again - OR ELSE! Sistine Chapel is good enough for Vatican, but is in direct violation of Goodreads’ Terms of Service.

Found: The Pequod! (Almost)

Marine archaeologists at the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration have found the sunken wreck of the Two Brothers - the second whaling ship helmed by George Pollard, Jr. Pollard had previously been the captain of the Essex, which sunk after being attacked by a sperm whale. The sinking of the Essex was the inspiration for Melville’s Moby-Dick.
